St. Charles is really several housing markets stacked on top of each other. The Historic Main Street district and Frenchtown hold homes built when this was Missouri's first capital, with narrow rooms, stone foundations and original board floors buried under decades of covering. Around Blanchette Park and Lindenwood University you get 1920s bungalows and four squares. Push west and south and you are into ranches from the sixties and the big subdivisions built from the eighties through the two thousands. One flooring approach does not cover all of that.
The Missouri River sets the terms here. Homes near Frontier Park and the low end of Main Street live with the river's moods, and plenty of families in town still talk about what the 1993 flood did. Even well away from the bottoms, humidity swings are real. Muggy July air and dry furnace air in January pull wood in opposite directions. That is why we read subfloor moisture before anything gets glued or nailed, leave honest expansion gaps, and steer basements and lower levels toward waterproof products.

Yes. We work the whole city, from South Main and Frenchtown to New Town, Bogey Hills, Elm Point and the subdivisions out toward Cottleville and Weldon Spring. Our showroom is at 149 Weldon Pkwy in Maryland Heights, about fifteen minutes over the Blanchette Bridge, and the in-home measure in St. Charles is free either way.
Something that does not care if it gets wet. Waterproof luxury vinyl plank, porcelain tile or carpet tile are the three we install most in St. Charles lower levels.
