Veteran Flooring Is Veteran-Owned And Owner-Led

Veteran Flooring opened in 2015, started by a United States Marine who wanted a flooring company that ran the way he was trained. Show up when you said you would. Do the work to standard. Finish what you started. That is where the slogan comes from: your floor is our mission. It sounds plain, and it is meant to. We bring military-level discipline, integrity, and commitment to every project, which on a job site looks like a clean work area at the end of each day, honest updates while the floor goes in, and a crew that does not vanish for three days in the middle of your install.

The part homeowners notice most is that Dale Wyatt is on the job. Not at the sales call and then gone, but on site while the work happens, because every project here is personally overseen by the owner. When you have a question about a transition strip, a stain color, or what turned up under the old carpet, you are asking the person who is accountable for the answer. Between Dale Wyatt, Erik on estimates, and the refinishing crew, our team carries more than 80 years of combined experience in this trade. That shows up in the details most people never think to ask about.

Pricing works the same way. Erik measures the rooms, looks at the subfloor, and puts one number in writing, usually back to you within one business day of the visit. That number is what you pay. There are no labor variance fees and no new line items once the tear-out starts. If something genuinely unexpected turns up, water damage under a bathroom floor or a soft spot in a joist, we stop, show you what we found, and talk it through before anyone goes further. Nobody likes surprises in the middle of a project, and we do not build our schedule around them.

Homeowners choosing flooring samples in the showroom

The Showroom In Maryland Heights, And What We Stand Behind

Our showroom sits at 149 Weldon Pkwy in Maryland Heights, about five minutes off the 364 and 270 corridor, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Walk-ins are welcome. You can put your hands on real samples, see how an oak reads in daylight instead of under store fluorescents, and take pieces home to live with on your own floor for a few days before you decide. We carry Paramount Flooring, Mannington, Hallmark Floors, Neptune Floors, and Tarkett. Nobody will follow you around the sample racks or push you toward a decision you are not ready to make.

We are certified by the National Wood Flooring Association, verified by the SBA as a Veteran-Owned Small Business, a member of the Better Business Bureau, and both bonded and insured. Our labor carries a one-year workmanship warranty, and the flooring you choose carries its manufacturer warranty on top of that. We offer a veteran discount and a first responder discount, so mention it when you schedule; those cannot be combined with other offers. If you would rather spread the project out over time, financing is available through Hearth and Synchrony, and applying takes only a few minutes.

Refinishing is the work our reviews talk about most. An enormous number of homes around St. Louis have original red or white oak hiding under carpet, in city brick two-flats and in 1950s through 1970s ranches across mid-county. We sand with dust containment, and we will spend an hour testing stains on your actual floor before anyone commits to a color, because old oak takes stain differently depending on what has soaked into it over the decades. While the job runs you get progress photos, so you can see the color come up. If something is not right at the end, we come back and fix it.

We handle houses and commercial spaces, and we live here too. Our float took Best Organizational Float at the 2026 Valley of Flowers parade in Florissant, and we laid the epoxy floor at the Florissant VFW. Missouri weather is hard on floors, between muggy summers, salt and slush tracked in all winter, and basements that take water more often than anyone admits, so we plan for acclimation, expansion gaps, and the right material for the room. To talk through a project, call (314) 897-4383, email veteranflooringstl@gmail.com, or stop by the showroom.
